Greenfields House, Westwood Way, Coventry, CV4 8JH
HOME

Welcome to the Roch Valley District
Association (RVDA) website.As
part of the
Camping and Caravanning Club, RVDA are a group of campers
comprising families, couples and singles of all ages dedicated to
caravanning, meeting and socialising with friends and like minded
people and enjoying the great outdoors.
We camp most weekends throughout the summer months and even a few in
winter.
Please feel free to peruse our web site to find out what we get up
to.
Any feedback you chose to provide will be well received, and, should
you wish to join us on the field, you are assured of a warm RVDA
welcome.
A
message from the Chairman
On
behalf of the Roch Valley District Association (RVDA) of the Camping and
Caravanning Club (CCC) may I welcome you to our website. The website has been
developed to help you gain an insight to the RVDA and its activities.
We are a family friendly group with a newly formed and vibrant Youth section.
Our regular weekend meets take place over a widespread area of the North West of
England attempting to cater for all our members near and far. Our Weekends cover
a variety of activities including family walks, visits to local places of
interest, sports, fun & games on the field and, of course, sociable and often
entertaining gatherings in the evenings.
DA meets, like ours, are an affordable form of camping. We regularly camp in
defined farm rally fields, rally sites attached to official campsites or we are
maybe sited adjacent to a village hall for our evening ‘get togethers’,
especially in the winter months.
Our ‘Roast Night’ meet, held annually in early June, has just taken place and you
will see from the photo gallery what a great entertaining weekend the RVDA
organised for its fellow CCC members. Like every weekend we camp, we aim to
create an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere and I can assure you of a warm
welcome to you all on the field at all of our meets.
If you are a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club and would like to camp
with us, whether in a Tent, a Trailer-Tent, Motor-Home or Caravan please see our
list of meets for the 2009 season and feel free to join us.
May I wish
you all an enjoyable time when camping with us.

ROAST NIGHT
WEEKEND |
For anyone who
supported the Roast Nite at Edisford Bridge, however big or
small your contribution, may we offer a great big thank you for
your efforts. We tried to thank as many people as possible at
coffee morning but, unfortunately, its not possible to go
through every single name but there are 2 couples we'd like to
mention that were missed. Firstly Tony and Maureen Shields for
bringing the supplies of beer for the bar, where would we be
without them?? A huge thank you to you. Secondly to Bob and
Elaine who were working like beavers on Friday night cooking
burgers for everyone. It was another successful job well done.
Over all, despite the weather, which could have been worse but
still could have been better, the weekend was a great success
once again, so please, everyone who helped, give yourselves a
big pat on the back.
Check out
the pictures to see what went on. |
Join us on any
camping weekend.
All members welcome and more room for visitors.
Wannabe members can come along and sample the friendly
atmosphere of an RVDA weekend.
You won't be disappointed.
Fun and games for the kids. Friendly social gatherings for the
grown-ups.
Or if you just want to meet, chill out and talk with like minded, common
sense people, we're the DA for you.
RVDA - The friendliest of the friendly club.

REIVALLEY NEWS
|
|
The next issue of
REIVALLEY is due out
soon.
If you have any stories you'd like to share with fellow members, E-mail them to
Bob Rickards.
(bob@d-ziva.go-plus.net)
We've had 2 excellent
weekends in both the bank holiday meet at Arley Hall and a quieter, but
most enjoyable meet, at Brocklehead Farm Darwen. Now's the time to write
something about your experiences at the meets and send them off to
Bob Rickards for the REIVALLEY. Strike while the irons hot!! Let
everyone know your thoughts on the meet. After all the magazine is now
available to a much wider audience with it being published on the
website too. It is a magazine for you by you and is an advert for your
DA!! You might want to tell us about a recent rally ... good or bad. Is there an
event you want to tell us about? An anniversary or birthday?
Or maybe just a message to a friend.
Let
Bob know and he'll do the business for you.

A reminder about changes
to the way Reivalley is distributed:
Future issues of the magazine will be delivered as a PDF file via email
and will also be made available to view or download from this site. |

Why not write a few words for the magazine and your fellow campers. Make it a magazine YOU want to read. Please get those

Meet
the youth
We've re-established the RVDA Youth
section at last.
Although it's still in the early stages,
the hope is to develop the section into a major part of the group.
In the short time they've been together, we've already had a few activities
which everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy.
At the recent Glasson Dock meet, a
gentleman from a visiting DA commented that it was wonderful to see the kids
having such a good time and the sound of laughing
and squealing was a reminder of times gone by.
The new leaders, Peter and Jayne Fryer and
Mark and Sarah Sharples, are committed to the cause and the kids have been coming
up with all sorts of ideas for fun and adventure. Lets hope the leaders can
stand the pace.
The children have been raising their own
funds and already have a substantial pot.
Many thanks to members who have
contributed in so many different ways.
Let's not forget, the children are the
future and we need them to continue the traditions of the club.
