As part of the Camping and Caravanning Club, RVDA are a group of campers comprising families, couples and singles of all ages dedicated to caravanning, meeting and socialising with friends and like minded people and enjoying the great outdoors.
We camp most weekends throughout the summer months and even a few in winter.

Any feedback you choose to provide will be well received, and, should you wish to join us on the field, you are assured of a warm RVDA welcome.

A message from the Chairman

On behalf of the Roch Valley District Association (RVDA) of the Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) may I welcome you to our website. It has been developed to help you gain an insight to the RVDA and its activities.
We are a family friendly group with a vibrant Youth section. Our regular weekend meets take place over a widespread area of the North West of England attempting to cater for members near and far. Our meets cover a  variety of activities including family walks, visits to local places of interest, sports, fun & games on the field and, of course, sociable and often entertaining gatherings in the evenings.
DA meets, like ours, are an affordable form of camping. We regularly camp on defined farm rally fields, rally sites attached to official campsites or maybe sited adjacent to a village hall for evening ‘get togethers’, especially in the winter months.
Our ‘Roast Night’ meet, held annually in early June, is our premier meet of the season and you will see from the photo gallery what a great entertaining weekend RVDA organise for fellow CCC members. Like every weekend we camp, we aim to create an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere and I can assure everyone of a warm welcome on the field any meet.

Up-Coming Meets and Events / Latest News

APRILDENE, BANKS, SOUTHPORT 13^th - 15^th AUGUST

SHAY FARM AUGUST BH MEET 27th - 30th AUGUST
This is a booked meet. There are still a few places left so please contact Bob & Eleanor Blears if you wish to come along for the Bank Holiday weekend. E-mail rbblears@msn.com or phone 01352 771484. There are plans for a Boules contest (please bring any Boules along) as well as a walk (less than 6 miles) and a bike ride (less than 20 miles).  There are 3 or 4 nice pubs in the vicinity if you wish to eat out and the Blakemere Craft Centre if you are interested in arts & crafts. We'll try and gets some quoits out there too.

MANLEY FIELDS 24th 26th SEPTEMBER                        *****CANCELLED*****
For reasons beyond our control, all camping meets at Manley Fields have unfortunately been cancelled. Nevertheless, there is a replacement RVDA meet at ELM COTTAGE on the same weekend (Click here for details). If you intend to visit Manley Fields with any other DA or section you will find their meets are also cancelled.

LLANDUDNO WEEKEND 4th -6th FEB 2011
There are still a few rooms available and you don't necessarily have to be a member of the club to come along. Its a great weekend in the winter months, so if you have friends or relatives you'd like to invite along then contact Andy & Irene. Those who have registered to go and not yet paid your deposits could you please do so before the end of August. Please send a deposit of £20 (cheque) to Mrs Irene McRoberts 10 Weston Grove, Maghull, Liverpool L31 5LA. The full amount would be appreciated ASAP thereafter.

REWARD SCHEME

All RVDA members are automatically entered into our reward scheme. It is a scheme which Joan and Mel Teale have run very successfully and are continuing for the 2010 season. The top 20 camping units throughout the season will receive a voucher to camp 2 nights free (with the exception of Roast Nite) for the following season. 1 point is awarded for a weekend camped and 2 points if you steward a weekend. So get out and camp with your DA and reap your reward!!

We are now looking for Stewards for next year. If you'd like to put yourself forward, please browse through the list to see what takes your fancy.
There is no obligation other than to take bookings on the field. We welcome new Stewards and appreciate anyone who puts something back into the group in this way.  There'll be plenty of experienced campers, RV committee and members to assist in any way necessary and it can be quite satisfying. Go on, you might even enjoy it.
